About Us

Mission

As a community, we seek to authentically model, and invite others to live, a lifestyle of following Jesus that represents the Kingdom of God well by acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God. (Micah 6:8)

Identity

Our identity is who we are—the condition or character as to who a person or what a thing is.  Our identity shapes who we are and how we live together.  We are committed to being…

GROUNDED

backward/withward

We affirm the central truths of historic orthodox Christian faith. We hold firmly to the faith that has been passed down to us by those who have lived in relationship with God. We see ourselves as a part of the endless conversation between God and people. We also find stability, security, and strength in our relationship with one another.  We are rooted in each other as we live faithfully to the God who graciously reveals himself to us and pursues us with his love.

GROWING

inward/forward

Being grounded allows us to grow in our relationship with God and others in healthy, transformative ways. We honor the positive things from our shared history by becoming healthy, whole people that tangibly love our neighbors in the present. We trust that God is actively at work within our lives restoring that which is broken here and now. As new life grows within us, we become better able to follow God into our hopeful future.

GIVING

outward/upward

The new life growing within us naturally leads us to be a generous people. As we become more like Christ, we sacrificially give to others because that is the nature of the God we follow. We believe God is abundantly gracious and generous with us, so we respond in the same way.  We want to be known for our generosity in every area of life. We also give glory and honor to God. We live knowing that we do not deserve anything; all we have is gift. With this in mind, we offer ourselves to God, in whose image we are made.
