About Us
Meet Pastor Tim Brooks
Hi! My name is Tim. Please give me an opportunity to introduce myself. I was raised as a military brat and Ohio is now the eighth state that I have lived in. My family is from New England, I went to High School in the Milwaukee area, college outside of Chicago (Olivet Nazarene University) and Seminary in Kansas City (Nazarene Theological Seminary).
You may notice what is important to me in the picture above. That is my wife of nine years, Charryse. We have a wonderful daughter named Mackenzie. She was born on January 27, 2008 in our driveway of all places!!! Not pictured is Brady (black dog), Logan (black and brown dog), and Fenway (cat). What is better than spending an evening with that beautiful bunch? (Oh, and the cat).
Norwood is my first Senior Pastorate. Before I have been a Youth Pastor in Kankakee, IL at a small Lutheran church and Shawnee, KS at an exciting, growing church plant (GracePoint Church of the Nazarene). I am excited about being in the Cincinnati area, and I am excited about what God is doing in Norwood through us Nazarene people.
What else may you want to know about me? Well, I am an avowed sports fan, with my pro sports allegiances all traced back to my time in Boston (Go Red Sox!) and my college allegiances to LSU, Wisconsin, and UCONN. It is tough moving around...
I am also learning to play the Bass Guitar, a difficult task for someone devoid of musical ability. I also enjoy playing softball with our formidable church team and am always looking forward to the next release of a John Grisham novel.
Now that you know a little about me, I would love to hear about you. I am always available via e-mail at pastor@norwoodnaz.org and am often at the church (513-531-7585). If you have any questions or comments, I invite you to contact me.

Church of the Nazarene Beliefs
These are the beliefs Nazarenes hold to be true:We believe in one God-the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
We believe that man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.
We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
